AK Care and Accommodation is an innovative organization based in the heart of Tranent, East Lothian and our purpose is to deliver a high quality person centered “Housing Support” and “Care At Home” service to people with learning disabilities and/or mental health issues.
The gap between the needs of people with learning disabilities and/or mental health issues and the providers’ ability to meet these needs influenced the idea to establish an organization which can meet their needs with best practices.

Or, support visits for someone who can almost live completely independent in their own home (floating support)
Housing support covers projects that are provided for the benefit of people who need additional support to manage and keep their own home.

Our Objective |

The objective of the service is to;
- Gather the information about what support the individual needs, from their assessment and their Person Centred / Personal Plans and delivering services to meet these needs.
- Provide support to individuals to enable them to live as independently as possible incorporating personal care, support and assistance with medication, and support and assistance with dealing with their finances.
